The Village Renewal Tyrol consists of 8 modules. Module 3 deals with the revitalisation of the village centre and the protection of the townscape. One of the aims is the revitalisation of empty buildings in the village centre.
Village renewal is the term used to describe subsidised programmes that are intended to improve the structural, traffic and cultural conditions in villages. The Village Renewal Tyrol consists of 8 modules:
Module 1: Development impulses
Module 2: Infrastructure
Module 3: Revitalisation of the town centre or protection of the town and its appearance
Module 4: Local and city marketing
Module 5: Building culture
Module 6: Cultural landscape
Module 7: ÖKO plus
Module 8: Public relations work.
Module 3 includes the revitalisation of existing buildings in private and public ownership. In the Tyrolean villages there are more and more empty buildings. Within the framework of the village centre revitalisation, the SOG 2003, the area of building culture in village renewal, communities and private individuals are encouraged to fill these buildings with life again, to give them new functions and thus strengthen village centres. In the end, the Tyrolean communities and the population benefit in many ways. The implementation of these measures requires raising the awareness of the population, advice and support from building experts who know how to handle old buildings with care.
Vacant buildings should be reused and new and replacement buildings should be implemented in the defined revitalisation zones (redensification) in accordance with the village development concept. Private individuals, municipalities and companies receive subsidies for the revitalization of vacant buildings.
Unter Dorferneuerung versteht man geförderte Programme, die die baulichen, verkehrstechnischen und kulturellen Verhältnisse in Dörfern verbessern sollen. Die Dorferneuerung Tirol besteht aus 8 Bausteinen:

Der Baustein 3 beinhaltet die Revitalisierung bestehender Bausubstanz im privaten und öffentlichen Besitz. In den Tiroler Dörfern gibt es zunehmend mehr leerstehende Gebäude. Im Rahmen der Ortskernrevitalisierung, des SOG 2003, dem Bereich Baukultur in der Dorferneuerung, werden Gemeinden und Private animiert, diese Gebäude wieder mit Leben zu füllen, ihnen neue Funktionen zu geben und so Dorfkerne zu stärken. Dadurch erwachsen letztlich den Tiroler Gemeinden und der Bevölkerung viele Vorteile. Die Umsetzung dieser Maßnahmen bedarf der Bewusstseinsbildung der Bevölkerung, der Beratung und Begleitung durch Baufachleute, die behutsam mit alter Bausubstanz umzugehen wissen. Leerstehende Gebäude sollen wieder genutzt und Neu- und Ersatzbauten im Sinne des Dorfentwicklungskonzeptes in den definierten Revitalisierungszonen (Nachverdichtung) umgesetzt werden. Private, Gemeinden und Unternehmen erhalten eine Förderung für die Revitalisierung von leerstehenden Gebäuden.
