The project aims to encourage and promote the creation and sustainable design of public and private green spaces in the context of enhancing biodiversity. When creating and maintaining green spaces, special attention is paid to a native and site-appropriate selection of plants as well as to participatory processes involving citizens, children and local interest groups.
In Alto Bellunese, the municipality of Perarolo will organise further education courses on the cultivation, use and processing of medicinal herbs and plants from the Alpine region.
In East Tyrol, the municipality of Virgen will develop a concept for the design of green spaces around the education centre.
The municipality of Wengen also intends to redesign selected green spaces in the village of La Val in a sustainable, site-adapted manner; a design is to be made with reference to the local vegetation zones of the Dolomites. The design concepts will be developed with the involvement of the local population and interest groups. Biodiversity and education play an important role in all project partners and activities.
Im Alto Bellunese wird die Gemeinde Perarolo Weiterbildungskurse zu Anbau, Nutzung und Verarbeitung von Heilkräutern und Medizinpflanzen aus dem Alpenraum organisieren.
In Osttirol wird die Gemeinde Virgen ein Konzept für die Gestaltung der Grünräume rund um das Bildungszentrum ausarbeiten.
Auch die Gemeinde Wengen beabsichtigt eine nachhaltige, standortangepasste Neugestaltung ausgewählter Grünflächen im Dorf La Val, eine Gestaltung soll unter Bezugnahme auf die lokalen Vegetationszonen der Dolomiten erfolgen. Die Ausarbeitung der Gestaltungskonzepte erfolgt unter Einbeziehung der lokalen Bevölkerung und Interessenvertretungen. Biodiversität und Bildung spielen bei allen Projektpartnern und Aktivitäten eine wichtige Rolle.
