Gerlind Weber - Expert for Inner Development
In 1991, O. Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Gerlind Weber was called as university professor for spatial research and spatial planning at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna. Until her retirement in 2012 she was head of the Institute of Spatial Planning and Rural Development at BOKU. Today she can refer to more than 300 scientific publications, about 500 lectures and a broad spectrum of spatial science studies. She has taught at numerous universities and held visiting professorships at ETH Zurich and Kyoto University. Professor Weber is a member of the “Intelligent Land Use” Advisory board of the Plattform Land. Currently, she continues her scientific commitment as a consultant.
1991 wurde O. Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Gerlind Weber als Universitätsprofessorin für Raumforschung und Raumplanung an die Universität für Bodenkultur, Wien, berufen. Bis zu ihrer Pensionierung im Jahr 2012 leitete sie das Institut für Raumplanung und Landentwicklung an der BOKU. Heute kann sie auf mehr als 300 wissenschaftliche Publikationen, rund 500 Vorträge und ein breites Spektrum an raumwissenschaftlichen Studien verweisen. Sie lehrte an zahlreichen Universitäten und hatte Gastprofessuren an der ETH Zürich und der Kyoto University inne. Professor Weber ist Mitglied des Beirats "Intelligente Landnutzung" der Plattform Land. Derzeit setzt sie ihr wissenschaftliches Engagement als Beraterin fort.
