Agrometeorological model IRRFIB is an operational tool for monitoring water balance of crops on a daily basis. It combines modules for irrigated and non-irrigated crops. It enables analysis of water consumption, detects water stress periods, the duration of water stress periods and calculates the water needs that could be applied by irrigation. Model enables the irrigation forecast based on 5-days weather forecast and specific information related to soil type, phenological data and type of irrigation.

Description

Agrometeorological model IRRFIB represents an operational tool for monitoring water balance of crops on a daily basis. It combines two distinctive modules, for irrigated and non-irrigated crops. The two modules have in common a procedure for the calculation of the reference evapotranspiration by Penman-Monteith method, and a model that simulates a water balance of crops. The module for irrigated plants enables the calculation of water balance for various types of soils and does not consider the restrictions on water supply at irrigation or data on the contribution of underground water. Irrigation water for specific crop is calculated with integration of users input data related to particular location such as soil data, phenology data and type of irrigation. Model enables also the irrigation forecast which is based on a 5-day weather forecast and the prediction of basic parameters for calculation of the evapotranspiration, including daily minimum and maximum air temperature, relative humidity, sunshine duration, wind speed, and precipitation. This enables regulation of water applications, irrigation with lesser amount of water than normally etc. Due to location-specific information (soil type, phenological data and type of irrigation), the information on water balance and irrigation schedule is accessible to user via given internet link only.

Agrometeorološki model IRRFIB predstavlja operativno orodje za spremljanje vodne bilance kmetijskih rastlin na dnevni ravni. Združuje dva različna modula, za namakane rastline in nenamakane rastline. Oba modula imata enako proceduro računanja referenčne evapotranspiracije po metodi Penman-Monteith in model, ki simulira vodno bilanco za izbrano kmetijsko rastlino. Modul za namakane rastline omogoča računanje vodne bilance za različne tipe tal. Ne upošteva omejitev razpoložljivosti vode za namakanje in morebitnega  vpliva talne vode. Namakalna voda za izbrano kmetijsko rastlino je izračunana na osnovi podatkov, ki jih posreduje uporabnik. Ti so vezani na izbrano lokacijo (lastnosti tal, fenološki podatki, tip namakanja). Model omogoča tudi izračun napovedi namakanja na osnovi 5-dnevne vremenske napovedi oziroma napovedi vhodnih parametrov za računanje evapotranspiracije, t.j. dnevne maksimalne in minimalne temperature zraka, relativne vlage zraka, trajanja sončnega obsevanja, hitrosti vetra in padavin. To omogoča vodeno oziroma racionalno dodajanje vode, namakanje z manjšo količino kot v idealnih razmerah itd. Zaradi informacij, ki so vezane na točno izbrano lokacijo, tla in kmetijsko kulturo, pa izračuni vodne bilance in napoved namakanja niso javno dostopni, do njih uporabnik dostopa preko dodeljenih spletnih povezav.
